As a closeted artist navigating the scaries of self-expression, I sought to establish an outlet that reflects the nuances of my journey. This platform not only showcases my artistic endeavours but also serves as a resource for others seeking web design, graphics, prints, & photography services. The vision is to uplift underground artistry while fostering connections between like-minded individuals, blending the essence of city life with the tranquility of nature. This project represents a commitment to authenticity, creativity, and community.
Light Mutt Media embodies my transformative journey from an art school dropout (classic) to a multifaceted artist with a distinct vision. Initially, I faced considerable challenges in navigating the traditional confinement of academia, often feeling disconnected from the rigid institutional approach to art that seemed to suppress my creativity. This divergence from conventional education allowed me to dive deeper into exploring my true artistic voice — fully embracing the raw, vibrant aesthetic of my inner harbour city while simultaneously connecting it with the deep beauty of the nature that surrounds me. The seamless blend of these diverse elements serves as a constant source of inspiration, fuelling my ongoing passion for the Arts. In this way, Light Mutt Media functions as both a vital artistic outlet and a budding business venture. My varied experiences have significantly shaped not only my evolving creative vision but also my unwavering commitment to producing genuine, impactful art that resonates deeply with a diverse community.
Navigating this journey has been quite new and somewhat challenging for me — I strive to add balance to my life beyond the arts. I often find myself between my love for music and managing a local cocktail bar. For a long time, my guitar has felt like an extension for my thoughts, a tool for storytelling that weaves throughout my life. In addition to this, I curate a vibrant atmosphere in a busy cocktail bar, crafting innovative drinks that mirror spirit of my bioregion alongside my amazing team. This duality not only fuels my creativity but also significantly deepens my appreciation for the art of hospitality and the diverse narratives that each sip can evoke.
